The Upper Beach boundries have become somewhat liberal in the last few years stretching further east, and further north. I think of the Upper Beaches as anything north of Kingston Road going east of Coxwell and Queen, to the train tracks just north Of Gerrard Street, and east to Victoria Park Avenue.

You will find a quiet residential neighbourhood tucked away in a mature and leafy, family friendly neighbourhood with respectable schools,& good transportation links (both public and vehicular). It is only a short stroll to the Beaches itself (without the price tag nor the crowds) with great off leash dog parks, and house proud home owners that are friendly & welcoming. This in turn contributes to a warm sense of community.

There is a stretch along Kingston Road that for the most part has long been an overlooked little village (except by its local residents) with plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries & antique, shops that competes with the more commercial and busy Queen Street East.

Accessed by the the subway along the Bloor-Danforth line, you also have the Queen and Gerrard street cars. For vehicular access go east on Lakeshore Boulevard which will turn into Woodbine Avenue as it starts to run north. It is also easily accessed from the DVP via O'Connor and the 401 Via Kingston Road or the DVP.

Mainly made up of large detached and semi detached homes, you also have pockets of picturesque, well built bungalows. While townhouses are few and far between, they can be found especially with the newer developments east of Main Street along Gerrard. The occasional condo buildings can also be found, especially along Kingston Road.

Family orientated in general, it is a liberal and accepting crowd, with a strong retention of property values.
