Ideally situated in the town of Oakville, River Oaks is a desireable neighbourhood that is nestled between Upper Middle and Dundas and runs west of Trafalgar to Sixteen Mile Creek, just west of Neyagawa Blvd.

River Oaks as we know it today came into being from the mid 1980's, and with its close proximity to Oakville GO station, access to the QEW/403/Gardiner Expressway as well as the 407, 401 and Pearson International, it is a firm favourite with families that make Oakville their home but need accesibility for commuting to and from work.

With wide streets and well maintained homes in a family friendly community, homes here are built onto numerous trails making it ideal for those wanting to get out and about for a walk, or taking the family pet for a walk. In addition, there are numerous parks and parkettes for the kids to play in a safe enviroment. More recently, the construction of North Park, just north of Dundas will provide first class sporting facilities. More information can be found below.

Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, is a 196,000 sq ft facility at Dundas and Neyagawa Blvd. The state of the art facility is home to 3 NHL sized ice pads with a seating capacity of 250 each, an Olympic sized 1500 seat ice surface, a 150 seat restaurant, concession stands, 2 shooter pads, a pro shop and several multi purpose rooms, and opened its doors September 18th 2010.
